Verne Gagne Passed Away At 89

I was just on facebook and saw the sad news that one of the great wrestlers passed away. Yes Verne Gagne has passed away at the age of 89. I remember watching him wrestle on television when I was a young kid back in the 60s and 70s.

WWE Extreme Rules 2015 Tonight

Are you ready for WWE Extreme Tonight On PPV or the WWE Network. You can bet I will be watching it. We have all heard the rumors that Daniel Bryan had suffered some sort of injury while he was on the European Tour. Well I hope he has recovered and will be able to wrestle. If he is not ready then it is better that he heal up properly.

The next big match is with Randy Orton and Seth Rollins in their steel cage match. Now to boot we had Triple H place Kane in the cage as the protector of the gate. In other words the Gate Keeper. We have seen through the recent events with the authority how Kane has some anger brewing inside of him with Seth Rollins. Maybe he will choke slam Seth Rollins through the mat and take him to Hell. On the other hand this may be just another trick of the authority. I guess we will just have to wait a few more hours and see.
Then we have John Cena and Rusev with the Russian Steel Chain Match. This has been one that has been building up. Although Rusev has not come at John Cena head on. It seems as though he is attacking from the blind side. This tells me that maybe he is a little scared at what John Cena can really do in a head to head contact. Personally I would like to see some kind of change in Rusev for the better. I would like to see Rusev as a Champion that we all could respect. They don't usually stay the bad guy forever. .  Well I hope everyone enjoys the WWE Extreme show tonight.
We also have all the other wrestlers appearing such as The Big Show, Dolph Ziggler, The Women Wrestlers, The Lucha Dragons, Dean Ambrose, Ryback, Luke Harper, Bray Wyatt, The New Day as well as some other excellent teams. All in all I have a feeling it's going to be a good show. If you want to read a little about it check out the Wikipedia webpage at

United States Heavweight Champion John Cena

Whether you like him or not John Cena is the United States Heavyweight Champion for the WWE. I myself am happy that John Cena beat Rusev. I was getting very tired of hearing the United States bashing from Rusev and Lana. We all knew that sooner or later someone would come along and give Rusev his first defeat in the WWE. Unfortunately for Rusev it happened at the biggest pay per view event of the year Wrestlemania. So once again Congratulations to John Cena the new United States Heavyweight Champion for the WWE.
The next bit of sad news I heard was the recent announcement of the retiring of AJ Lee. I don't know for sure if AJ s leaving has anything to do with her husband CM Punk. I think most of us have heard from CM Punk how he was treated in the WWE. If it is I can understand how that would put pressure on AJ and CM Punks marriage. It may just be something as simple as AJ and CM Punk wanting to spend more time as husband and wife. I can definitely respect AJ for her decision on retiring. I am sure that all of us wish AJ a very happy life. Who knows one day she may be back.

The last bit of news I heard about involved a former WWE Champion. That is none other than Ray Mysterio. Yes during a match in Mexico he drop kicked Pedro Aguayo into the ropes before performing his move. Aguayo was thrown out of the ring just before that and may have sustained
some injury and when Rey Mysterio hit him he suffered a serious injury and was pronounced deceased later at the hospital. I say we all say a prayer for Rey Mysterio and the Aguayo family. It is just another example of how dangerous professional wrestling is and why we should leave it up to the professionals.
