WWE and TNA Wrestlers from 2013 to the Present

2013 seemed to be a popular year for wrestling in general. There were some wrestlers that seemed to all of the sudden be gone for some reason. I think some may have been on vacation, others were out for injuries and others may have had contracts that were up so they went to another location.
The most popular wrestler in 2013 seemed to be Daniel Bryan with his Yes Yes Yes. I have not seen the crowd this active and loud involving a wrestler since the days of Hulk Hogan with his red and yellow hulkamania colors. Daniel Bryan has definitely become a fan favorite.  There was one point at which it looked like he was joining the wyatts and following the buzzards. Fortunately that changed in the steel cage when he removed his overhauls and had his normal wrestling gear on and proceded to beat the living snot out of Bray Wyatt.

John Cena also seemed to have a good year even though it was sort of up and down. He was out for awhile due to his gross elbow injury. Cena should have been out for at least six months with his elbow injury. Amazingly he came back after only about eight weeks. Then he is in the ring with Damien Sandow who cashed in his money in the bank briefcase and tried to pin Cena. Despite the beating he was getting John Cena defeated Damien Sandow. Next John Cena wrestles Daniel Bryan at Summer Slam and defeats him.

My third popular pick for 2013 is CM Punk. We saw him defeat Ryback in Hell In A Cell with his go to sleep move and then gets his hands on Paul Heyman. Of course Heyman had to be raised to get on the top of the cell. CM Punk ended up on top of the cell with Heyman. Punk then beats Heyman with a kendo stick and then wins the match. After all he had gone through with Heyman this was well worth it.

The other wrestler that I thought was excellent through 2013 and into 2014 was the Big Show. He is always one of my favorites. He went through a lot of humiliating nonsense with Triple H and his wife Stephanie. I did thoroughly enjoy it when he could take no more and started fighting back in various ways. I did however think that Stephanie slapping him repeatedly in the face was not called for. But the results of all that were well worth the outcome and are still going strong.

In the TNA department in 2013 there were a lot of good moments as well. We had the Bubba Dudley  leading the Aces and Eights causing total havoc week after week. Finally they started losing their members one by one. We then saw the the Main Event Mafia back in the ring led by Sting. He was joined by Magnus, Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle. It came down to three left and then they were gone to leave Bubba by himself. It then goes into Ken Anderson fighting with Bubba as he becomes a very dark character. This is still going on presently.

One of my other favorites was the tag team of Cowboy James Storm and Gunner. They were proving to be a good team. They were defeating Kazarian and Daniels as well as the BroMans team. They of course are having their problems since Gunner climbed over Storm to get the brief case and now Gunner has a chance at the Title.

I think one of the most interesting themes that has been going for awhile is with Joseph Parks looking for his brother Abyss. I think most people could tell that these two are one in the same. The crowd has really been getting into it with cheering for Joseph Parks as the underdog. Now we have Eric Young trying to bring Joseph Parks around to realize he is Abyss. Now we see the two fighting and out have come the thumbtacks. All I can say to that is OUCH !!!!

Of course there have been many many excellent matches between all the wrestlers whether in the WWE or the TNA show. I am wondering what wrestler that has left the TNA will eventually end up in the WWE or vise versa. I have seen recently the new investor in the TNA. I like it, because he is standing up to Dixie Carter and saying it like it is. He is definitely earning the respect of the fans.  I just wonder where Jeff Hardy is going. Maybe he will show up in the WWE. maybe at some point we will see AJ Styles in the WWE. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
